Richard received his degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Design from Northeastern University in Boston
Massachusetts in 1979. He started his professional career at DEC in the engineering and design teams before
moving to sales and business development for HP’s Fortune 100 accounts.
As a visionary pioneer, Mr. Bezjian established Boomerang Software’s R&D centre in the newly independent Republic of Armenia in 1990. It helped set a trend for other technology colleagues from USA and Europe to follow and start operations in Armenia. The company developed and released over 25 software products including WebShop, one of the earliest and best-selling all-in-one e-commerce solutions. Richard’s products received Best-of-Best awards and industry innovation recognitions. They were sold in collaboration with clients such as HP, AOL, Microsoft and others.
Recognizing a potential for growth in 2007, Bezjian moved his wife and three kids to Armenia and founded Energize Global Services (EGS). This new endeavor set the standard for technological innovations in a newly developing entrepreneurial space, and a newly emerging region. As of 2018, EGS has grown to a company of 300+ engineering consultants, making it one of the largest and longest-thriving tech companies of the region. With highly Secure Development centers in Yerevan Armenia, Sofia Bulgaria and other cities, EGS provides services in Financial Technologies, eCommerce, Payments, Mobile Banking and many other domains. Its clients include Tier-1 well known banks, and publicly traded large companies in Europe, Asia, and the USA.
