Leading transformation in the face of globalisation: A new era of IT sourcing

Technology continues to enable and drive innovation within the industry as Enterprise strives for new capabilities in this hyper-competitive marketplace.

Cloud, Mobile, Social, Artificial Intelligent Systems, RPA, Distributed Systems and Big Data are driving the most effective evolution in the decision-making process, customer experience and business strategy.

Seemingly, the major limitation for businesses wishing to take full advantage of the opportunities presented by these new marketplaces is the ability to define a strong overall business strategy and understanding of what and how to procure — which is relevant to the capabilities emerging from an ever-deepening specialisation of skills.

In response, outsourcing continues to grow, with major organizations becoming completely dependent on the effective and predictable service delivery of third-party partners and vendors. As this shift continues, from cost to value, companies are finding huge benefit from nearshore destinations, where there is a wealth of expertise in areas such as IT & engineering, with the added benefits of a close cultural connectivity.

The Nordics Innotech Summit 2018 was developed to create partnerships between emerging European regions, partners and vendors, with Nordic IT and sourcing leaders.

Through an exciting and interactive agenda, you will focus on learning, and obtaining in-depth knowledge of the latest trends, opportunities and threats facing business and its leaders during this exciting phase of transformation. You will also have a unique opportunity to extend your network through meeting some of the industry’s leading operators and practitioners.

Why attend?

The Nordics InnoTech Summit is organised by the Emerging Europe Alliance and the Nordic IT Sourcing Association — organisations which gather the very best stakeholders from their respective regions

In Q3 2016, a report by Hacker Rank placed no less than 6 emerging Europe countries in a global Top 20 List of countries producing the most talented developers, displacing the USA, UK and India. But when it comes to software outsourcing, it's not about who is the most talented and cheapest. Cultural alignment is also deemed to be critical. Here we discuss and debate the pros and cons of choosing geographic proximity and cultural affinity over (often cheaper) skills.

Venue

The Brewery, or Münchenbryggeriet, is a classic institution and an essential element to Stockholm’s cityscape. It is also a beloved landmark of an industrial era long gone. Beer was manufactured in the building for over 100 years.

In its 24 unique venues, a total of 9,000 square meters, people from all over the world get together to confer, celebrate and build relationships and brands. Throughout the year two-three events take place in the building every day.

Alongside the venues, the building hosts several offices representing IT, media, finance and other businesses.
